Terms of Service
Last updated 11 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to SecHound, a product of Trident Softwares Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Pakistan. By creating an account or using the CLI, website, or paid plans, you agree to these Terms.
Support: support@sechound.com.
1. The service
SecHound is a local-first security scanner for developers. The CLI inspects source and a local development server on your machine. The website provides accounts, API keys, scan history, optional AI explanations, and billing. We do not guarantee that scans will find every vulnerability or that your application is secure.
2. Accounts
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to that Google account secure. You must provide accurate information and be able to receive email at the address associated with your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may only use SecHound to scan systems you own or are authorized to test. You must not:
- Scan third-party systems without authorization
- Use the service for illegal activity, malware, or unauthorized access
- Abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the website, API, or CLI
- Share API keys or resell access
- Misrepresent scan results or use them to harm others
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Plans, credits, and billing
Local scans are available on the Free plan. Paid Pro ($20/month) and Team ($40/month) plans include additional AI credits, API keys, and longer scan history. Credits are consumed when you request AI explanations. Unused credits do not roll over beyond the current billing period unless we say otherwise in the product.
Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By purchasing a paid plan you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Prices are shown in USD on sechound.com/pricing. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a paid subscription from the in-app Billing page (Manage billing) or by emailing support@sechound.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
You have 30 days from the date of purchase or renewal to request a full refund. Email support@sechound.com. Details are in our Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual property
We own SecHound, including the website, CLI, trademarks, and documentation. You keep ownership of your source code and scan targets. You grant us a limited license to store scan reports you upload so we can show them in your dashboard.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is”. Security scanning is inherently incomplete. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trident Softwares Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of SecHound. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel any paid plan.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
